3 Qurban cows were slaughtered and distributed to evacuees and pedicab drivers in the poor community of Magelco, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

Qurban Distribution to IDPs at Makir Evacuation Center on Nov. 27

More than 400 Internally Displaced families were given 1 kg of Qurban meat each from 5 cows, in Makir Evacuation Center, Maguindanao.

Kenduri for Widows and their children (2 cows)

80 widows and their children with the nearby community were provided with kenduri from two cows slaughtered as Qurban. The widows were provided with transportation. They were very happy with the program.

Qurban Distribution to Internally Displaced Persons in Dapiawan, Datu Saudi Maguindanao

5 cows were distributed to IDPs in this Evacuation centre where 460 families received 1 kg of meat.

To our valued participants to the Qurban for Humanity and Solidarity held in Mindanao, Philippines during Zul Hijjah 10-13 1430 H/ November 27-30 2009. We are pleased to inform you that ACT Malaysia in cooperation with ACT Mindanao have successfully distributed the Qurban meat to the target beneficiaries-

1. Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)- 19 cows (45%)

2. Orphans- 3 cows (7%)

3. Widows - 2 cows (5%)

4. New Muslims group (highlanders) - 2 cows (5%)

5. Indigent communities - 16 cows (38%)
